Jamie Varner and John Moraga Victorious at UFC 155

Saturday night at the MGM Grand,  Jamie Varner and John Moraga went in to the octagon to compete.  John went on first, and won Submission of the Night honors by catching Chris Cariaso in a modified Anaconda choke.  John stayed undefeated in UFC competition, and vaulted himself into the top echelon of  contenders at 125 lbs.  Jamie Varner went on next, and beat a tough Melvin Guillard in a dominant performance.  Jamie has had a rebirth year in  2012, and has great things ahead in 2013.  We are very proud of these guys and their incredible work ethic.  Congratulations boys, great things to come in 2013!

Happy Holidays!

We here at would like to take this chance to wish all of our families and friends a safe and happy holiday season.  It was just a year ago that we put together our 12 Days of Christmas JCBJJ style, so we thought this we be a great time to roll it out again.  Hope you enjoy the video, and, again, thanks to everyone for all the love and support.

In the Beginning….

When we moved to Phoenix, a young man named Ben Henderson moved down with us to try his hand at this MMA business.  At the time he had little experience, but never missed a practice, and worked his butt off every day.  Here is a video of Benson and John Crouch almost 5 years ago after a sparring session at The MMA Lab.  Time has gone by quickly, but it has been a heck of a ride!

Yaotzin Meza to Make UFC Debut at UFC on FX 6

Yaotzin Meza has worked long and hard honing his fighting skills, and helping his famous teammates prepare for their battles.  His turn has come at last.  An injury to Hacran Dias left an opening fpr December 14, and the tough veteran was more than willing to jump in the mix.  Yaddi is fresh off a first round demolition win two weeks ago, and has been hard at work preparing Benson Henderson for his title defense against Nathan Diaz, so this shot comes at the perfect time.  All of us are behind you Yaddi, we believe in you, and are excited for you to take your place among the world’s best.  Let’s do this!

Benson Defends Title Emphatically

On Saturday night, in Seattle, WA, Benson Henderson defended his title for the second time, dominating Nate Diaz through five brutal rounds.  Headlining the UFC on Fox 5 card, Ben was sharp from start to finish, and battered the Stockton, CA bad boy throughout the fight.  We are so proud of Benson and his incredible work ethic and we are so happy to be part of his incredible legacy as it unfolds.  Thanks to everyone for the support and love, it would be impossible to do the things our team does without our friends and family.  Congratulations Benson!
