It was a great night in Denver, CO, as Luke Sanders continued his undefeated record, and had a dominant performance as he won the championship belt for the RFA. Facing an opponent who was 12-1, Luke overwhelmed him, and finished him just 39 seconds into the very first round. We are so proud of Luke and all of his hard work; this is only the beginning of a very exciting career for him. Congratulations Luke!
Was a fun week at the LAB, as we were able to promote some folks to new belts. Jesse, Thibault, David, and Michael were all promoted to blue belt, while Cory, James, and Duane all received their well deserved purple belts. These guys worked very hard for these promotions, and we are very proud to be part of their journey. Great work guys!
This last weekend at the Talking Stick resort in Scottsdale, Bryan Barberena ran his impressive record to 9-1 with a win at KOTC Radar Lock.
Bryan has been a member of the Lab Elite for almost a year, and is on a five fight win streak with all of his victories being finishes. The future looks bright for this young man as he continues to better himself and climb the ladder in his career. Congratulations Bryan!
This last weekend, the JCBJJ team went into competition and came out in 4th place. The team won a lot of medals including 9 golds on the way to a fantastic weekend. We are so proud of everyone, as our team displayed great heart, skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Thank you to all that were involved, you were awesome!

We recorded our 12 Days of Christmas video a couple of years ago, but it is still good fun to watch! Time has flown by and now many of these guys have been promoted to their next belt. Ben has his black belt now and Jason Witkowski, Chris Zubrycki, Joe Gemma, Tyler Rolland and Luis Ordonez have all been promoted to brown belt. My favorite part is that we are all training together still and improving every day. Thanks for all the support and we hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season!!
Newly promoted Brown Belt Luis Ordonez shows us one of his cool tricks to help stop that pesky Wilson Reis pass. Luis is a mainstay at the Lab, and helps with everything from the Elite fight team to teaching classes, and we are very grateful to have him around. Hope you guys enjoy this taste of Lu-Jitsu!
Today, at the MMA LAB, two very deserving young men were promoted to Brown Belt. Tyler Rolland and Luis Ordonez have been long time members at the LAB, and are part of the fabric of our team.
Both guys have been a great help to us through the years, training with our Elite Team, traveling with fighters, and teaching classes. They are always ready to help do whatever needs to be done to help the team, and they are, pure and simple, monsters on the mat.
Thank you to both Tyler and Luis, our family would not be what it is without your love for the sport, and your dedication to the team….Congratulations!

Jordan Johnson went to Long Beach, CA last weekend to compete in the No-Gi World Championships and came home with the Gold medal! Jordan, an undefeated MMA fighter and Lab Elite member, is an excellent grappler, and was very impressive as he steam rolled through his bracket. Jordan has become part of what makes our team at the Lab tick, and we are so happy that he had such a fantastic performance. Way to go Jordan, excited for the future!
